Dear Tom, I recently saw you speak at the Golden Chain Conference, at Hyatt Regency Sactuary Cove in late October. I walked into your talk half-way through your presentation, and sat at the back of the room.
At the end of the talk, and after the morning tea, I approached you to thank you for words of obvious wisdom. In hearing you, I'd come to the conclusion, as it became blatantly apparent to me through your unorthodox and direct presentation, that I was not chasing my dream, and I most certainly was not in a role which supported my energy, my attitude or destiny.
I've now done it. I've quit my job, and pursued and secured an opportunity in another field more closely aligned to my own passions and desires. Its amazing how simple it needs to be, and how difficult it is for most of us to see what we are missing out on.
Although I thank myself for taking the courage and steps to make this happen, it was your words and insightful views which got the cobwebs off the cogs and got some passion stirring once again.
In essense, I thank you for your views and your presentation. Keep up the good work, and i'll be sure to keep an eye out for you at any future seminars or events. Kind regards, Daman C.

Hi Tom, I was lucky enough to obtain your Breadwinner book at a recent conference run by Peter Kenyon - whom I have become a great fan of over the past three years - he does amazing community work. I found your book very inspirational but in particular your story of Maningrida. I have been working with people with a disability for over 20 years focusing on ability as opposed to disability – something the wider community often struggles with, so I enjoyed your 'teaching' philosophy within the Manningrida community.
The reason I am writing is to purchase 5 copies of your ‘Breadwinner’ for my children - I don't wish to give my copy away! I myself loved it, and have taken your advice on many things. Please keep on doing what you are doing - there have only been two things that have really inspired me to change my thinking and work practices in the last 15 years - attending a community development conference run by Peter Kenyon three years ago and reading your book - so thank you! With best regards, Lyn Donaldson

Dear Tom O'Toole, I have read your book Breadwinner, which you gave my youngest brother Mahbub with your autograph, who is an employee of High Arctic Energy Services - Oil Search Limited, on 30-Oct-2007 at The Sea Temple, Cairns, Australia. I must tell you, a wonderful & most practical book you have written. You can't imagine the poverty level of Bangladesh. I can see myself when I leaf through Breadwinner. Now I believe from the core of my heart that this is really a fresh approach to business success. Most of our people are not willing to come out of their comfort zone as you have mentioned in your book & most of them are waiting for the miracle to happen once in their life.
I like to translate your book in Bengali language which might help at least some of them to come out of their comfort zone. Regards, Nizam U. Laskar
