Very exciting news: my very popular business autobiography ‘Breadwinner’ has just been fully revised and updated, and is now available on Amazon as an e-book. I’ve been told it’s a rollicking good read, and many people find my story quite inspirational. I guess, if someone like me, with a background like mine, can make it to the top, anyone can. If you think times are tough, visit Uganda. You will instantly become grateful that you live in Australia. I’ve just spent two weeks there with my two good baker mates, Ralph Plarre and Graham Heaven. We set up a bakery and trained four local women to bake bread. It was a big ask, but we achieved it. How A Little Interest Can Turn Into Big Involvement… Very Quickly

Last year I was doing a talk in Ingham, in far north Queensland. In the audience there was a retired church minister called Nino Marolla. Nino asked me if I could help set up a bakery at an orphanage in Uganda. They had a building with a wood-fired oven which he believed would make a good bakery. (more…)
