Tom's Feedback
Poem for Tom Print E-mail
The Beachworth Baker
Tom O'Toole presents.

I arrived as Tom was ranting
and raving on the stage.
Those laughs
came one a minute,
as the crowd turned every page.

He spoke about his journey
'bout his philosophy on life,
and about that
Beachworth bakery
with his 'trouble and his strife'.

His words flowed all together
it was hard to pick them out.
Yet clear
with Irish timbre
'walk the talk' oft came the shout.

But more than words were spoken
as he pranced and waved his arms.
His earthy
words uncensored:
'Live with bloody passion' - he charms.

Most left there light and easy
saying, he had made their day,
but for me
this Beachworth baker
has forever changed my way.

God bless you baker Tom O'Toole
may your passion never wane,
for you have shown
our troubled times,
need not be lived in vain.

(I wrote the poem one morning soon after Tom spoke to us teachers at Southbank Institute of Technology in Brisbane in 2006. I teach (and practice) entrepreneurship and I loved Tom's presentation and talk. I have sat on the poem for the past year or so but I thought that it was time to send it to him the other day.)

Thankyou from New Zealand Print E-mail
Dear Tom

Just a big thank you for your life saving talk at New Plymouth last week.

Man oh man the pity parties I have had!! You directed me into an area of myself to be perfectly honest,  I have been "shit scared" to go there.

I have two questions. What would be the number 1 statement you would make in life, you quote many in your book "Breadwinner", but what would you say would be the 1st prioity!for where you are today? And  If you had your time over again what would be the one thing you would change?

FEAR I was always told meant FALSE EVIDENCE APPEARING REAL!, which really is what it is, and now that is what I tend to believe!

Thankyou,  thank you once again, but I have to challenge you on something you said "We live in the "second" best country in the world!! Well hey man I am prepared to negotiate "1st equal"  come on Tom!!!  (that Kiwi and Oka rivalry will always live!!, he he)

Enjoy, and thank you for allowing me to now follow the dream not the god dam nightmare!!!

Kindest regards always

Janine

A thankyou letter to Tom Print E-mail

Dear Tom,

Thank you for being born, thank you for being real and thank you for finding the courage to write a book when you may not have previously considered yourself an author.

Tom, the right choice! Print E-mail
Dear Tom.

I wanted to take this time to thank you sincerely for helping to make our 2007 National Furnishing Teachers Conference a huge success.

Letter and card from the UK Print E-mail

Dear Tom O'Toole

I have visited your bakery in Beechworth. Victoria nearly every day when I spent 6 weeks with my son and his little family over the 2006 period of Christmas.
